Posted: April 25, 2018

There is a fire ban in place for the entire municipality of St. Laurent due to dry conditions and weather forecasts.  This ban is effective immediately and will remain in effect until further notice.

This means no burning!

(No fireworks or fire pits as well as no burning barrels; Garbage can be taken to the Waste Transfer Station during regular business hours).

*Any permits issued to date are no longer valid.

It is also imperative when discarding cigarettes, and/or using matches/lighters, etc.; that you ensure it is properly extinguished.

NOTE: Failure to comply with the ban could result in fines, and costs of damages and fire department costs being billed to the person responsible for starting the fire.

Thank you, on behalf of the RM of St. Laurent, for using extreme caution and good judgment regarding this matter.
